Course highlights- Section 2

  • Fire Alarm Systems and Extinguishers are serviced and maintained yearly by an external contractor; and as required,  when identified during monthly checks by the Safety Officer; 
  • For each day of use, SHS drivers must complete a vehicle check list;
  • All medical equipment/supplies, internal systems and vehicles are monitored by the appropriate Managers in collaboration with the Safety Officer using the SHS Equipment Management Log to ensure optimal and safe equipment performance at all times;
  • All equipment failures/breakdowns (other than for SHS vehicles) must be reported as per the SHS Incident Reporting, Analysis and Resolution Policy exceptionally, Vehicle Deficiency Reports are used for SHS vehicle malfunctions
